Diaspora Programme 2025

The Rákóczi Association – at the request of the Hungarian Diaspora Council and with the support of the Hungarian Government – is once again announcing its highly successful Diaspora Program. During 2025, the program creates the opportunity for Hungarian youth between the ages of 10 and 25 living in the diaspora and also for teachers working in the diaspora communities to go on a study trip to Hungary.

Based on the initiative of the Hungarian Diaspora Council and with support from the Government of Hungary, the Rákóczi Association is providing an opportunity to 1000 young Hungarians, between the age of 10 and 25, to take part in a study tour to Hungary during the year 2022, in the framework of the “DIASPORA PROGRAMME.”

By rejecting the Minority SafePack citizens’ initiative, the European Commission has disregarded 50 million members of Europe’s indigenous minorities, the request of over 1.2 million citizens and the support of the majority of Members of the European Parliament.
Dr. József Halzl passed away

It is with heartfelt sorrow that the Rákóczi Association announces the passing away of Dr. József Halzl, the Association’s Honorary Chairman, at the age of eighty-seven years.
Mother Tongue and Yachting Camps to Begin on Monday

Between 10 and August, the Rákóczi Association is organizing a Mother Tongue Camp for 150 junior school children from Felvidék at the Rákóczi Camp and Events Centre in Sátoraljaújhely. Parallel to the event, the Carpathian Basin Yachting Camp began at Lake Orfű in close cooleration with the Hungarian Yachting Association.
